Weather surprise

I walked outside today and saw this:So I ran back in and grabbed my camera. Isn't it cool? What makes the clouds do that? I know it has to do with high pressure, temperature, etc. But, meteorological explanations aside, It looks amazing! I'm glad I hurried and took a picture, because it was gone a few minutes later.
