The BEST DAY EVER!

We woke up bright and early Saturday morning to get Ben off to his 5K. His time was 27 minutes and he placed 21st--not too shabby! I didn't take a picture of him running. So here he is with his t-shirt.James had a football game. That's him # 67 in the middle surveying the carnage he caused with his brutal tackle.Andrew had a soccer game. He did great. He got a goal and also blocked some shots on goal. He is a serious threat on defense! Then, we ran home to clean the house and have some lunch. Arby's is doing their 5 for 5 until the end of September. I'll miss it. It's been a great tradition this month between games. Mmmm... Next, we headed off to Ben's game. He played great. He scored the team's first goal about 4 seconds into the game. Kick-off to Ben, he runs like a bat out of you-know-where and GOOOAAAL!
We hurried home to get Ben changed and we were off to the Killer part of the day. Frank, James, Ben and I went to the Killers' concert. For those of you who don't know this band, they sing the greatest song ever written in the history of the world, "Can you read my mind?" The show was fantastic. I got us floor tickets, mainly because I didn't know how to use the Ticketmaster website. But it turned out to be the best place to be. We LOVED it! These guys are right up there with Springsteen, U2, Guns and Roses and my other favorite bands of all time. And as a side note, if you are wondering if you should take your kids to one of their shows, they are really clean. There was nothing questionable--unless you are worried that your kids will actually get too awesome from being there. If that is the case, keep them home. I mean, check out these guys.

Whew! Now I'm ready for my Sunday nap!

Definitely sounds like the best day ever! What cool parents you guys are. Loved your picture of your roast beef and ya, we'll miss that deal, too!

That sounds like fun. I haven't been to a good concert in a couple of years.

...and thanks for rubbing it in on the 5 for 5 at Arby's. The Ventura Arby's has a giant sign on their window that says 3 for 5. Show-off.
